Lincoln, Neb.—April __, 2016— B&R Stores’ Smokehouse team earned 17 awards at the 2016 Nebraska Association of Meat Processors (NAMP) Cured Meats Competition. The team brought home five Grand Champion awards. Team members included “Smokin’” Bob Voss, Smokehouse manager at the Super Saver at 27th and Pine Lake Road in Lincoln; Misha Tsyutsyak, also from the 27th and Pine Lake Road Super Saver; and Adam Meisenheimer of the Millard Super Saver.
Meisenheimer won the specialty category for pulled pork, judged by the Nebraska Pork Producers. As the winner, Meisenheimer will prepare his pulled pork for a meal at the American Association of Meat Processors trade show and cured meats competition in Omaha this July.
Voss has won well over 100 awards at the state, regional and national levels.
“Preparing cured meats and hand-crafted sausages is a passion for all of us on the team. We’re honored to be judged among the best in the state,” said Voss. “But the best part is knowing that these award-winning meats are enjoyed by our customers.”
