LINCOLN, Neb. — June 16, 2015 — Super Saver store director Brian Hayes was recently honored for excellence in supermarket management by two grocery retail organizations. Hayes, the store director at the Fallbrook Super Saver in Lincoln, received the Food Marketing Institute’s (FMI) Store Manager Award for supermarket groups with 1–49 stores. In a news release, FMI said the awards “recognize exceptional supermarket store managers who generate sales growth; provide outstanding customer service; contribute to attaining company goals; and are an integral part of the communities in which they serve.”

In April, Hayes was named the Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) Store Manager of the Year for the Kansas City Division. Both awards recognize successful store management and leadership as well as community involvement.

Hayes was named store director of the Fallbrook Super Saver prior to its opening in early 2013. Under Hayes’ direction, sales have consistently increased at the 61,000-square-foot store, and it has also ranked first in the company for customer service. The store is known for partnering with community groups and hosting special events.
